Perks of opting for Webflow and why you should do it

What is Webflow?

Webflow is a no-code development tool used by more than 3,5 million designers and teams to create and scale beautiful websites in a totally visual canvas, without coding.

Webflow is an in-browser design tool that gives you the power to design, build, and launch responsive websites visually. It's an all-in-one design platform you can use to go from the initial idea to a ready-to-use product. It serves as a CMS like WordPress and a mighty site builder.

In general, web design and development landscape provide many ways to build a website. If we were to start with the more technical part of the subject, we would see that some developers can build a website without special software and tools. As we dive deeper into the non-technical side of things, we discover platforms to build sites like WordPress or Squarespace. But they are generally less flexible and may sometimes require coding way more than expected. Webflow does the job here to encourage designers, entrepreneurs, and all others that are interested in building a blazing-fast website.

Webflow now serves as an upper-hand site builder for non-technical people, a better alternative to WordPress.

  • The E-commerce side is still open to improvements

Webflow Plans

One might get confused with Webflow plans; therefore, we'll make a simple summary here for you. The fundamental thing is to know that there are two different plans that serve other purposes: Site Plans and Account Plans. This is where the dilemma for Webflow pricing happens.

First, we need to create an account plan to start building with Webflow. Webflow uses two separate plans and we have to choose among those; Site plan and workspaces. There's always room for those who want to learn without the charge so the free account is for that.

Site Plans

Webflow site plans (independent of Workspaces), hosting sites, adding custom domains, CMS usage amounts, etc. It covers many features. Site plans consist of two plans.

Site Plans: General

In the "General" tab of the site plans, there are five plans: Free, Basic, CMS, Business, and Enterprise. Okay then, which plan is right for you? To answer this question, you need to decide what type of structure your site will be.

Free: If you are a Webflow newbie and want to test out Webflow; you can easily test your website with 50 CMS items and a webflow.io URL (this plan does not contain any custom domains) to sharpen your Webflow skills.

Basic: If you have a landing website or a website with a couple of pages and you don't need to use CMS, this plan would be enough for you.

Business: Best for a high-traffic marketing site if you have an advanced website.

Enterprise: If the business features are insufficient for your website, you can contact the webflow team and request a more advanced package.

Site Plans: E-commerce

So why do we better choose Webflow?

Building a website is not as simple as it seems, not just uploading images and placing content and pouring them onto a blank canvas hoping for the best, or combining ready-made designs.

A solid website should be consistent and in harmony with itself. Having the know-how to construct better UX/UI for mobile and non-mobile environments and different browsers is crucial. When we compare Webflow to similar tools like WordPress or SquareSpace, we see that they have less flexibility and often require a fair amount of coding expertise to customize the code the way you want it. The outcome leads to more time and cost. This is where Webflow actually comes into play. Webflow expertise helps you create a helpful website blazingly fast by using all these advantages and saving time.

It is a platform that should be used by those who want to have a flexible website, as it is user-friendly, the panel can be used easily without the need for a tech team or a person, the CMS system is well-structured, the speed of your site is at high levels and it can be customized as you wish without being dependent on templates.

It serves as a great solution for partners and marketers that aim to have a rocking website in a snap of a finger and save budget while doing that.

That's why we're in it and have loved it since the beginning. If you'd like to learn more and benefit from our expertise on Webflow, we're always a couple of clicks away to discuss your next project. Visit Earthr to learn more now ;)
